Hylands House, built in 1728, is a beautiful neo-classical restored Grade 2* listed house set within some 570 acres of heritage parkland containing ancient woodland, ponds, formal pleasure gardens and a serpentine lake. The park has a wide variety of interesting flora, fauna and wildlife including badgers, foxes, squirrels and deer. There is also a large variety of mature trees including oak, ash, hornbeam, and field maple, an additional 25,000 new trees were planted in 2005/6.

Please remember that Hylands Park belongs to the people of Chelmsford, we are very fortunate to be allowed to use the park for this event and we would like to return year after year. Please look after the park during your visit, remove and dispose of any unwanted litter in the bins provided, consider the parks wildlife and respect the residents in the surrounding areas.

You are advised that flicker, laser, strobe and other lighting effects may be used during some performances.
