Verve crooner Richard Ashcroft has been a little under the weather recently. Last month the band was forced to pull out of the Wave festival in Italy because a usually cheery Ashcroft had been diagnosed with throat pharyngitis and a chest infection. Which fair enough, is the equivalent of the guitarist getting his hand caught in a smoothie machine. Lets hope the poor lad can get back to best for us lot down at V this weekend. We have issued a friendly request to all tickets holders to all take a few extra strepsils in their first aid kits just in case!
